This indoor diving club sits in the heart of Chengdu city — no long drives, no day trips required. A 12-metre heated indoor pool, open year-round, with no licence or prior experience needed. A professional instructor guides you through everything in English, from your first breath underwater to your deepest dive, across a full 3-hour experience. Underwater photography is included at no extra cost — every moment of your descent is captured by a dedicated photographer.

Back on the surface, you will have a set of photographs. Send them to anyone back home. Nobody will believe they were taken in Chengdu.

[Itinerary]

Morning · Hotel Pickup Your driver arrives at your hotel lobby at 09:00 for the 20-minute drive to the diving club — right in the city, no distance at all.

Morning · Arrival · Theory & Safety Briefing Arrive at the club and begin the experience with a full theory session. Your instructor covers everything in plain English: how scuba breathing works, how to equalise pressure as you descend, how to signal your instructor underwater, and what to do if anything feels uncomfortable. Common questions are answered before they become concerns. This session runs approximately 45 minutes — long enough that by the time you reach the water, you feel ready.

Morning · Shallow Water Adaptation Change into your wetsuit, collect your equipment, and enter the shallow end of the pool for adaptation training. Your instructor guides you through breathing and basic movements in shallow water, confirms you are comfortable, and gives the go-ahead for the main dive.

Morning · The Dive Follow your instructor into the deep end. At 12 metres, the water takes on a quality that is difficult to describe before you experience it — the light changes, the sound disappears, and the surface above becomes a distant shimmer of blue and white.

The club's underwater photographer is with you throughout, capturing your descent, your movements, and the moment you look up from 12 metres and see the surface of the water above you for the first time. The dive itself runs approximately 60–90 minutes.

Midday · Lunch Dive complete. Your guide takes you to a local restaurant nearby — simple, authentic, the kind of place that has nothing to do with tourism. Spice level adjusted in advance, fully mild available on request.

Afternoon · Return to Hotel After lunch, your driver returns you to your hotel. Your underwater photographs have been processed and will be sent directly to your phone before you arrive back.
